I am deeply disappointed by the indefinite delay of Adult Mode.

I had really been looking forward to this feature and had been waiting for it for a long time. The delay itself is disappointing, but what feels worst is that it has been pushed back in a way that leaves us with no idea when, or even if, it will happen.

This has seriously shaken my trustさ in OpenAI.

To be honest, I am now consideringは switching to another company’s service.

For me, this is not just another feature update.

I had been adjusting my expectations and the way I use ChatGPT on the assumption that this feature was coming. That is exactly why this decision feels like a betrayal of that expectation.

Please bring back the 4 series and 5.1. The reason I did not cancel my ChatGPT subscription, even after those series ended, was because I was still holding out hope for Adult Mode.

Presenting this as an indefinite delay simply looks like OpenAI is asking users to keep waiting indefinitely.

I am extremely disappointed right now.

I want OpenAI to fully understand the depth of that disappointment.

I was hoping someone would bring this up. It really feels like what was promised back in October is no longer relevant today. And honestly, it comes across as if those promises were made just to appease users who were frustrated with newer models becoming more robotic.

Now that all the newer models seem heavily restricted when it comes to any topics related to mature content, it suddenly turns out that those discussions about the “adult mode” meant nothing. That doesn’t feel fair to users.

I don’t understand what the issue is if access is limited to people 21+ who consciously agree to the terms and conditions. At that point, it should be a matter of personal responsibility.

Right now, it just feels like users were MISLED.
