How to deactivate the advanced voice mod?

Hi, I am reaching out regarding the ChatGPT application for Windows, specifically about the advanced voice option. I truly appreciate the effort to integrate voice features, but I would like to know if an additional configuration could be considered.

My need is straightforward: I want to use the “Speak” feature to transcribe my voice into text, but I prefer that the AI responds exclusively in written form, without any vocal interaction. In other words, this is what I am looking for:

  1. The ability to activate voice recognition to convert my speech into text.
  2. Receiving a response solely in text, without the AI replying vocally.

Currently, it seems that enabling the advanced voice option automatically triggers the AI’s vocal responses, which does not fully align with my preferences.

Is it possible to configure the application to work this way, or are you considering adding such an option in a future update?

Thank you in advance for your attention and response.

Best regards.

Any response to this team? This is a feature that is also my preference and available on tablet/phone so why not desktop; furthermore, making the ChatGPT M-chip only; excluding Intel Macs from your desktop app seems the antithesis to inclusivity. Would be nice to hear back as to your thoughts on these topics.
