This happened to me and I solved it. If you subscribe on your iPhone app (maybe Android too?) - you cannot cancel on the website, e.g chatgpt dot com - this makes sense because Apple Payment Systems are used for all iOS transactions - there is likely no way to sign up on iPhone and Cancel on web. You need to Cancel where you signed up.
