We are building a voice agent using OpenAI real-time API. Privacy is a critical concern for our company and we are trying to understand OpenAI data handling policies fully Specifically after the 30-minute session window that applies to the real-time API
what we would like to know:
- What happens to the session data (prompts and responses)?
- Is it stored on OpenAI’s servers beyond the session window?
- Does OpenAI retain the data for any period (e.g., for abuse monitoring)?
- Under what conditions (if any) can we ensure zero data retention?
We are aware that OpenAI says API data is not used for training, but we’re looking for clarity on data retention and deletion timelines, especially in the context of real-time or streaming use cases
Plus I was also reading about OpenAI for Enterprise, but as far as i understand, it only applies to ChatGPT. Is there something similar for API so with better Privacy protection
