Can AI redefine music video production? This experiment explores how 23 distinct AI-generated visuals were seamlessly synced to music—pushing the boundaries of AI-driven audiovisual storytelling.
Run//Fall//Chase | A Synthwave-EDM Odyssey marks the first time I’ve created a fully AI-powered music video where every animation is uniquely AI-generated and dynamically timed to the track. Unlike previous projects with just 1-2 looping visuals, this video integrates 23 AI-crafted animations, each aligning with the song’s emotional and rhythmic flow.
Bringing this project to completion was incredibly rewarding—seeing and hearing how well the audio and visuals synchronized was a powerful moment. While this process takes time, patience, and iteration, it reinforced that high-quality AI-driven music videos are achievable and well worth the effort.
Workflow & Tools Used:
ChatGPT-4o – Conceptualization, storyboarding, lyrics development, and defining the music’s style
Suno AI – Music generation (Synthwave-EDM fusion with cinematic synths & pulsing bass)
Meta AI – AI-generated animations via a two-step process: first prompting for a still image, then using built-in animation capabilities to bring it to life
Sora – Direct AI animation generation through prompting for fully realized dynamic sequences
Wondershare Filmora – Editing & final production (timing, sequencing, and refining visual-music synchronization)
Challenges & Learnings:
- Maintaining Visual Consistency – Refining prompts for cohesive style across multiple AI tools
- Syncing AI Visuals with Music – Ensuring animations flowed naturally with beat-driven pacing
- Leveraging AI’s Strengths – Balancing AI-generated creativity with human direction for a polished result
This project raises exciting questions about AI’s evolving role in music video creation.
How do you see AI shaping the future of audiovisual storytelling? Have you experimented with AI-generated visuals in music projects? Let’s discuss!
