Hello OpenAI Community,
I’m seeking advice on the best setup for using AI to perform conversational searches across my Gmail sent items, especially including attachments like PDFs, Word docs, and PPTs.
Current Situation:
- I’ve experimented with a Zapier-based workflow to process emails and attachments, converting them to text for further processing. However, this approach is becoming quite complex, and I’m wondering if there’s a simpler or more robust way to achieve what I need.
Goal:
- I need to search my sent Gmail emails (including attachments) conversationally using AI, ideally in real-time.
- The key feature I’m looking for is being able to ask questions about the content within both the emails and attachments, such as “Find mails with a pitch about X?” or “Find the email where I have sent a CV that includes Y”.
Requirements:
- Process all sent items, including extracting and analyzing the content of attachments.
- Conversational AI interface for natural language searches.
- Preferably a tool with a straightforward setup that doesn’t require advanced coding skills.
What I’ve Tried:
- Built a Zapier workflow, using GPT for processing emails and converting attachments, but it feels cumbersome and might not be the most efficient solution. Also tried CloudConvert for attachment conversion, but ran into several limitations (e.g., supported file types).
What I Need:
- Recommendations for tools or platforms that can streamline this process.
- Ideally, suggestions for tools that are AI-driven and capable of handling a large volume of data.
- If any of you have experience setting up a similar system, I’d love to hear how you managed it and any tips you have.
Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions!
Best,
Cees
