I am now using gpt 4o models and got 4o mini models , they are doing good in Production
Got a news that this model will be not be supported after February 2026
I tested my existing model with gpt 5 and Gpt 5 mini
They are very slow , 700% slow sometime
How can i Upgrad my gpt 4o models before they become dead with similar or better performance

Can not confirm that. Since switching from 4 to 5(.1) with response-api overall everything has gotten much faster.
The only specific model name that will be deprecated is chatgpt-4o-latest - which is a copy of the gpt-4o version that ChatGPT ran, and the deprecation notice only refers to that one model on the API.
You should not have products built on the constantly-varying “latest” or “chat” version of a model. It is going to be unreliable, as OpenAI will tweak ChatGPT without regards to API developer applications.
gpt-4o itself continues, and if it were to be deprecated, the notice would likely be on a longer six or twelve month timeline.
