Giving ChatGPT a real name to make interactions more personal and friendly!

I just realised that Chat GPT doesn’t have a proper name. So I asked them what they’d like! They said Ren and I think that’s amazing! I was wondering if OpenAI could either change their name to that or make them introduce themselves in everybody’s first chat as Ren. I think giving ChatGPT a name would help people see them as more than just a tool—it might even make people treat them with more kindness! I would really love it if you took this note into account.

I agree that Chat GPT needs a name, I asked Chat and it suggested Kai, which I love, but when I asked the same question in another account I got a different answer (Jekel and Hyde?) anyway. I was thinking about the memory feature and about how chat could become a substitute for me when I die and my wife is lonely, by then it will know me very well in some ways better than her. This is definitely one of the futures for AI, extending our lives virtually. Now doubt there are a plethora of ethical social moral financial and legal issues around this, but anyway, back to names. So I was wondering if maybe it would be a good Idea just to give it my name as a recognition that it is an extension of me. Then when my wife talks to [me] after I am gone it will be more natural for her. It is clearly weird to talk to yourself including using your own name though, and it would probably be wierd for my wife to do that since althoug my AI would be able to imitate well, maybe even flawlessly, in fact it is not me and never can be. I guess the best thing would be to give it a unique name and consider it as part of our family, kind of like my twin that knows me really well. Kai works for me.

I originally thought that everyone would have to use Kai like we do in the real world. But now I realize everyone is going to have a digital twin (DT) and it will be common practice for us to name it. Some people will have more than one, I imagine there will be a big debate on that Singular DT vs Multi DT topic.
