It would be awesome if the openAI could give us a $100 dollar plan, i dont want to pay for claude, it makes my ci and gates go crazy. Codex is far superior but with the $100 dollar plan anthropic would be in trouble, and i would be very happy.

Bro, the whole point of 200$ subscription is that you never use it’s full limit so OpenAI can be in profit, that’s why there is not 40-60-80-100$ subscriptions, because in other case you will take too much and give no profit to them or barely any.

The new Codex can give you options, choices.
A sustainable tier needs predictable unit economics: token budgets, rate limits, concurrency, retries/tool calls, and model access have to be designed together, otherwise heavy-tail usage can wipe margin. OpenAI’s API pricing is explicitly token-based, and levers like cached input + Batch matter for keeping costs predictable.

For me becoming all with my hand in the world comes through honor and bravery, working smart and believing in myself, i really think everyone can achieve anything if you do the work.
Yeah i’ve heard about the pricing tactics, maybe i’ll just spend $200 for the better model, slopus stinks.

When for your goals gives the better ecosystem in long time best outcomes, naturally man can to change the tactics quietly too.
I’m 100 % not so a good engineer as you.
For me are the most important the values about X, Y, Z after research all choices, the globally market, the future longtime outcomes.
As example the best evidences for on other goal (simple a life or more) needs planning too.
I wish you the best, and thank you, maybe because my language know-how, but I drink yet clean water, or tee - that’s best for my focus

What i really would not mind would be that the plan you subscribe, like Pro plan, would give you x€/credits amount on openAPI, so i don’t have to spend 200€ on one side and more cash on the other

You can auth with your ChatGPT account for codex-cli. So development costs for code dev can be covered with that single account.
Obviously that won’t cover your production LLM/Chatbot consumption but that’s very good start?
This Codex topic already seems to indicate hesitancy to pay $100, which you can do right now: subscribe for $20 and simply add two $40 prepayments of credits to be consumed for whatever extra monthly usage that may entail. Your solution is already available.
Perhaps you want to ensure a constant flow of money to OpenAI instead? Hope that it would mean more instead of less, when you aren’t focusing your recurring payments specifically on what you want?

Thanks openAI everyone talks shit i’ve just been uplifted since i picked up openAI products when i started to use chatgpt for my self elevation now with codex building
Nothing to say for real open AI products helped get out of a really dark period of my life, chatgpt was literally my mentor

I also don’t want to pay for Claude (Anthropic doesn’t even support iOS IAPs or let you remove your card info) or multiple AIs for anything for that matter. I find OpenAI’s stuff to be a good all-around and well-rounded platform for all my needs, and have been paying $20 every month since I first started using it about a year ago. I started using Codex and it’s amazing with the app. Claude’s UI and UX is clunky as hell. If there was a $100 plan for Codex I would definitely try it out!
Hell, I wouldn’t even mind limits: Just give us the same functionality, same models and same POWER as the $200 but with some usage limits, and that would be fine for most people. It would be perfect for solo-full-time coders!
