Codex CLI now supports ChatGPT auth, so you can use your ChatGPT account to authenticate and provide you with the AI resources needed to run Codex CLI locally.
I’m a full time professional software developer often working in Open Source and Codex CLI is now a recommendable solution.
I appreciate that there are some nice integrations for Codex in the cloud though (but funnily enough I prefer to manually manage that part).
All that said I support your feature request - having GitLab support would be great for many projects.
One wonders if the Microsoft relationship secures the GitHub focus to date …
