I’m somewhat concerned about setting up an API key for my project that I don’t plan to use. Also, I’m concerned if I just spend a few bucks, I still might not have access to GPT4 API. Can anyone comment on their process to getting access?

If you have a pay as you go older style account then you just need an API bill that has been paid totalling more than $1, as you know with payment processing there are fee’s involved so that might not be enough to trigger a payment cycle, so if you generate a bill of $5 that should be high enough to get billed and then you will have GPT-4. You can create a new account that requires pre payment and the minimum amount is $5 when that is done you get GPT-4 right away.
