I have a feature suggestion that I think could be an exciting addition to ChatGPT.
Millions of people use ChatGPT to discuss their lives, personalities, relationships, values, interests and what they’re looking for in a partner.
What if ChatGPT could offer an optional, AI-powered matchmaking feature that helps users find genuinely compatible people?
Instead of relying on dating apps where people swipe based primarily on appearance, ChatGPT could help match people based on:
- Personality and communication styles
- Core values and beliefs
- Relationship goals and expectations
- Emotional compatibility
- Shared interests and lifestyles
The feature would be strictly opt-in, with users choosing what information they want to share. Private conversations would remain private, and no personal information would be disclosed without consent.
Imagine someone telling ChatGPT, “I wish I could meet someone who genuinely understands me,” and ChatGPT being able to introduce them to another consenting user with compatible values and relationship goals.
The idea is simple: What if AI could help people build meaningful human connections, rather than just answer their questions?
I think this could be particularly valuable for people who are tired of traditional dating apps and want something more genuine.
I’d love to see OpenAI explore this concept!
