I’d love to see the speech-to-text functionality from the mobile app implemented in the web and desktop versions of ChatGPT. It’s a feature that works incredibly well and that I absolutely love using.
On mobile, it allows me to quickly dictate prompts and provide detailed information to the tool in a very efficient way. Having this option on the web or desktop app would make the experience even better, especially for those of us who rely on it to streamline our workflow and communicate more effectively with the tool.
The lack of it on desktop is killing the experience hard. I want to use Chatgpt for my main projects which obviously require me to have it running on my pc, not a mobile phone. I don’t want to have to have chatgpt open on both my Desktop AND my phone just so I can dictate what I need and work at the same time.
We already have conversation mode (which isnt helpful given that it doesnt allow you to reliably speak without being interrupted and your message being sent prematurely, and even if it did, I like to be able to see what I’m talking about and working through as I dicate, not have the entire screen taken up by the voice mode screen and have to keep exiting and restarting it just to keep working with what we’re discussing.
