Proposal
I would like to suggest adding a small persistent Notes / Agenda panel to the ChatGPT interface.
Many users work with ChatGPT on several projects simultaneously. During conversations, tasks, deadlines, follow-ups and pending actions naturally emerge, but this information remains scattered across different chats.
A small sidebar or panel, always accessible from ChatGPT, could allow users to maintain a simple personal agenda with:
- Pending tasks and checkboxes
- Due dates
- Priorities
- Short notes
- Links or references to the related ChatGPT conversation
- Completed tasks that can be checked off or archived
Ideally, both the user and ChatGPT could add or update items, with the user’s approval. For example, during a conversation a user could simply say:
“Add this to my pending tasks for tomorrow.”
ChatGPT could then add it to the persistent agenda instead of leaving that information buried inside the conversation.
This would be especially useful for users who use ChatGPT as a daily working assistant across multiple projects. It would create a bridge between conversation, memory and action, while still keeping the agenda visible and under the user’s control.
The feature does not need to be a complex project-management system. A simple, lightweight panel in a corner or sidebar of the interface with notes, dates and checkboxes would already be extremely useful.
Example:
☐ Send final report — Sep 16
☐ Prepare client proposal — Sep 17
☐ Submit quotation — Sep 18
Send documentation — Completed
The key idea is simple: important actions identified during a ChatGPT conversation should not disappear when the conversation ends.
Thank you for considering this feature.
