Please add an optional security setting that allows users to protect the ChatGPT app with a separate password or PIN, independent of the phone’s normal unlock credentials.
This would be especially valuable for users who share devices, have other people who know their phone passcode, or simply want an additional layer of privacy for their ChatGPT conversations.
Ideally, users could choose to require the ChatGPT-specific password whenever the app is opened, after a configurable period of inactivity, or after the app has been fully closed.
Biometric authentication could remain an option, but it should not be required, so users who don’t use Face ID or fingerprint authentication can still protect ChatGPT independently.
