Feature Request: Face ID-Protected Private Folder for Chats

I’d love the ability to move selected conversations into a private folder that is hidden from the main chat history and protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode.

Unlike Temporary Chat, the conversations would remain saved and accessible after unlocking the folder. The goal is to provide both privacy and organization without requiring users to delete conversations they want to keep.

Potential use cases:

  • Health and medical discussions
  • Financial planning
  • Personal journaling
  • Relationship conversations
  • Sensitive work topics

Suggested functionality:

  • Move existing chats into and out of the private folder
  • Hide chats from the main conversation list
  • Hide chats from search until the folder is unlocked
  • Optional Face ID/Touch ID prompt each time the folder is opened
  • Ability to create multiple private folders for organization

Many users want to keep certain conversations for future reference but may not want them visible in their regular chat history. A private folder would provide a simple and secure way to manage those conversations while maintaining easy access when needed.

A private, locked folder would help bridge the gap between Temporary Chat and regular history. Temporary Chat is useful when you don’t want something saved, but there are also times when users may want to keep sensitive conversations for later without having them visible in the main chat list or search.

The ideas around Face ID, Touch ID, passcode protection, and hiding previews until unlocked are helpful details. I can’t share a timeline right now, but this is useful feedback and I’ll pass it along internally.
