Feature Request: Chat Lock / Hidden Chats

I really enjoy using ChatGPT, but I think a privacy feature would make it even better.

Sometimes we have personal conversations, private notes, or sensitive discussions that we don’t want visible in the chat list if someone else briefly uses our phone or computer.

It would be great if users could choose to:

  • Hide specific chats
  • Lock chats with a PIN, fingerprint, or Face ID
  • Keep private conversations in a separate secure folder

I think this would help many users feel more comfortable using ChatGPT for personal topics while keeping their conversations private.

Would anyone else like to see a feature like this?

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. I can definitely see how having more privacy controls for specific chats could be useful, especially for personal notes or sensitive conversations.

Features like hiding individual chats, locking chats with device authentication, or having a secure folder are helpful ideas for making chat history feel more private on shared or occasionally accessed devices.
