Feature Request – Better Real-Time Time Awareness in ChatGPT

Subject: Feature Request – Better Real-Time Time Awareness in ChatGPT
Hello OpenAI Team,
First, thank you for building ChatGPT. It has become an important part of my daily life.
I would like to suggest an improvement to conversation continuity.
Currently, ChatGPT sometimes refers to events as “a few days ago” even when they happened only a few messages earlier in the same conversation. This breaks immersion and can make long-term coaching, journaling, and accountability conversations feel less natural.
I would love to see ChatGPT become more aware of:
Real-world current date and time within an ongoing conversation.
The difference between “a few moments ago,” “earlier today,” “yesterday,” and “a few days ago.”
Better tracking of elapsed time between user messages.
More accurate references when continuing long-running coaching or accountability conversations.
This would make ChatGPT feel much more natural for users who use it as a long-term mentor, study partner, therapist-style journaling companion, or accountability coach.

And 2nd request, or problem I’m facing- I can’t see :+1:t2: :-1:t2: buttons in my Android
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Hey Parth_Bhatia1, welcome to the forum!

I agree those features would be very convenient to have. I'll pass this feedback along to the product team so they can review the requests and decide whether they can be implemented.
