I would like to suggest adding email integration directly into ChatGPT Voice Mode.
If a user has Gmail or another email account connected to ChatGPT, Voice Mode should be able to:
- read new or selected emails aloud,
- search emails by sender, subject, or date,
- summarize emails,
- draft replies based on voice instructions,
- read the drafted reply back to the user,
- and send the email after explicit user confirmation.
Example:
“Read my newest emails.”
“Reply to Peter that I will be available tomorrow afternoon.”
ChatGPT prepares the reply, reads it back, and asks:
“Do you want me to send it?”
After the user confirms, the email is sent.
This would make Voice Mode much more useful as a real hands-free assistant, especially while driving, working, or when it is inconvenient to use a keyboard or screen.
For security, sending an email should always require clear user confirmation before the message is actually sent.
I think this would be a very useful extension of the existing Voice Mode and connected-app capabilities.
