I would love the ability to use project-specific memory (like in named folders or workspaces) without needing to have general memory turned on. Right now, there’s no way to separate the two, and that limits how safe or intentional some users can be with what they share.
Please consider giving users more control over what gets saved, where it gets saved, and how memory is handled within projects versus general use. I’d feel so much more comfortable using long-term memory features if I knew they were project-contained and not influencing unrelated conversations or accounts.
This kind of user-centered memory management would make ChatGPT feel more grounded, trustworthy, and personally aligned with how I work.
