Hello OpenAI Community,
My name is Davide Di Nicola, and I am a ChatGPT user from Switzerland.
I would like to share a feature proposal called ChatGPT Community Knowledge Sharing.
The concept is to allow ChatGPT users to voluntarily contribute useful firsthand experiences and practical information to a shared knowledge system, without exposing their private conversations.
The key element of my proposal is that ChatGPT could proactively recognize potentially useful information during a normal conversation, prepare a short summary, and ask the user for explicit permission to share it.
Users would always be able to review, edit, approve, or reject the contribution.
For example, this idea came to me after visiting a pumpkin attraction in Savosa, Switzerland, on October 11, 2026, and discussing practical details of my visit with ChatGPT.
I recognize that related community knowledge-sharing concepts have already been proposed. My proposal focuses specifically on making voluntary contributions simple and natural within everyday ChatGPT conversations.
I have prepared a bilingual PDF describing the concept, a possible user interface, privacy safeguards, and the potential benefits.
I would welcome feedback from the community and would appreciate any guidance on how to submit this proposal for product consideration.
I would also be grateful to know whether there is a process for acknowledging user contributions that help inspire future features.
Thank you for your time.
Davide Di Nicola
