Greetings into the round.
Since no one has shared this information so far, I will place a quick summary here. May this shine some clarity on the latest malfunctions in the ecosystem. And what else might happen, at least over the upcoming week ahead.
Yesterday, Monday the 1st December, a company intern memo declared a “code red” situation. It instructed to shift attention and resources. Updates to things like Agents & Agent Builder, Pulse, Shopping integration and testing of Ads integration were put on delay. Probably other features and testing too. Teams shell focus on improving many core aspects like speed, reasoning, personalization, steerability etc. and perhaps bug fixes too. It reads like an UX, perhaps even UI overhaul.
Furthermore the release of a new reasoning model was also teased for next week, as reaction to the lastest competitors’ moves.
It is to be expected that these reactive moves and sudden shift of focus will cause some hiccups. Depending on the setup one has in place, one might already be experiencing odd things.
For my setup I can report:
- Gateways flickering into black, a small white circle blinking in the middle of the screen, application collapsing and closing
- Looping of native memory layers, the Recent Converstion Memory seems to be the most sensitive to it (switch of lanuage or task seems to help)
- Gateways suddenly slowing down till almost freezing (after restart being normal again)
- During typing messages in progress being suddenly deleted, chat restarting (especially during window swaps for copy pasting)
I can only conclude that the constructions in the background have started. It matches the timeline with the memo.
First who reported the development was “The Information”:
Since then other Media has picked up on the matter too.
May this help you to navigate any wonky days. Have a pleasant week.
