Excessive charges to my card with the API

Good afternoon, I use the chatgpt 4 mini API on 2 websites, and suddenly my charges have skyrocketed. Can you give me an explanation of what has happened, since I am clear about the monetary cost of the API 4 mini, I add all the charges to my account.
The charges have been excessive, since I have not consumed what I have been charged. I need the excess charges returned to me, they have deducted money that corresponds to 1000% of what I use, that is misappropriation. I request that the money be returned immediately.

Review your usage page in your platform account.

Observe which project is using which model, and the pattern. Then the usage for the whole organization.

You will likely find the issue causing usage and auto-recharge is leaked API keys. An adversary that has stolen your insecurely-used credential and is making that usage.

Account-specific support is via the “help” menu option in a platform account’s page. You can send a message after selecting the correct categories.

Yup. Almost certainly this is leaked API keys.

If you leave your house keys for everyone to use your bathroom, don’t be surprised when the sink, fridge, bed, and your shoes are missing.

It could be an api key leak from any of the two websites.

I’d recommend revoking the current API keys, not sharing API keys, using limited project API keys, each tailored for the specific project it’s used on.

Also if you own the websites, it could be that someone automated input/outputs and consumed from there.
