I frequently need to clean up my chat list, but the only option available is to delete or archive all chats at once. It would be much more efficient to select multiple specific chats—or just a few at a time—from the sidebar and apply bulk delete or archive actions.
Current behavior:
Only “Delete All” or “Archive All” options are available.
No way to pick individual chats or folders for batch operations.
Managing a large number of chats requires manual one-by-one deletion or archiving outside the interface.
Expected behavior:
Checkboxes or selection mode in the sidebar next to each chat or folder.
Ability to select multiple items (Ctrl-click or Shift-click support).
Bulk action buttons (Delete Selected, Archive Selected) become active once items are chosen.
Benefit:
Allowing users to pick and choose which chats to remove or archive in bulk would drastically speed up cleanup tasks and give finer control over chat history management.
Suggested solution:
Introduce a selection toggle in the sidebar that reveals checkboxes next to each chat/folder. Once one or more are selected, display “Delete Selected” and “Archive Selected” buttons at the top or bottom of the list.
