Dropbox Access for Custom GPT

How do I get my custom GPT to access Dropbox folders? Since there is an upload limit of 20 files, I need the custom GPT to be able to access, search, and find files on a Dropbox folder, which has view access to anyone with the link.

The GPT informed me: " If the Dropbox folder can be made publicly accessible, generate a shared link that doesn’t require login or specific permissions. Ensure the folder has “view access” enabled, then share the new link here."

When I provide the link, which has view access and doesn’t require login or specific permissions, which I confirmed by pasting the link in a private/incognito browser window to ensure it doesn’t require a login or permissions before sharing it with me, the Custom GPT still could not access the dropbox files and provided me the response “I am unable to directly access the contents of the Dropbox folder due to restrictions.”

I am also looking for this! How do I sync a database to my Custom GPT? I have a bunch of PDFs and documents that I would like to store in one location and access via my Custom GPT.

I wish this could be done but, No, as of now, GPT-based tools cannot directly access Dropbox links or interact with the content within shared folders, even if they are publicly accessible. This limitation arises because GPT cannot navigate or process external links or files hosted on external platforms like Dropbox.

The only, even theoretical way, to achieve this, is to create an extension to serve as uploader, by means of “selecting the file share” and pasting content.
But that still involves using your local network as a proxy for the data.
1.) you download
2.) it uploads.

But thats the limit of your options right now.
