I recently invested $200 to subscribe to o1 Pro, expecting a premium and reliable experience based on the positive reviews and features advertised. However, today’s experience has been incredibly disappointing for several reasons:
Reduced Performance: Unlike yesterday, where o1 Pro handled my tasks efficiently and intelligently, today it seems significantly less capable. The responses are often irrelevant or lack depth, which hinders my workflow.
Shortened Processing Time: The time taken to generate responses has drastically decreased, resulting in rushed and incomplete answers. This quick turnaround compromises the quality and usefulness of the outputs.
Increased Errors: There have been more frequent inaccuracies and mistakes in the information provided, making it unreliable for my important projects.
I chose o1 Pro because I believed it would enhance my productivity and provide top-notch performance. However, today’s experience has not met these expectations. I kindly request the o1 team to look into these issues and provide a resolution. It’s disheartening to feel let down after making a significant investment.
Has anyone else encountered similar problems recently? Any insights or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Feeling same. Bought it to work with pdf files, and it’s not capable of handling it, I mean it is not even feature to upload pdf files, only images (jpg, gif, etc.).

After forking out $240 dollars (tax inc), I got around 48 hours out of it and then it showed a flagging message in red like I had done something wrong - it was during PHP web coding, and ever since, it is been useless, it is like a dead product. They killed Pro for me. So i don’t actually know what I am paying 240 for, but Pro is as dead as a dodo. o1 works, but they killed Pro.
I have tried to get in touch with them, ask them to look at the chat and explain why I even got flagged in the first place - HONESTLY this was as I was having it look through debug logs of which I needed Pro as there were a lot of logs to find the culprit of a PHP coding bug…
Not only won’t the staff at OpenAI look and confirm what I am saying, they don’t even read or reply to any message I send. It’s as if that false flag has gave them grounds to just treat me as a ghost, not acknowledge me, and not give me the service I payed for, I am utterly depressed about it. I wish someone could see what I mean, try using Pro on my account and it’s like completely labotomized. It’s unusable.
I am really sad that this is affecting you too, are you from outside the USA? I am from the UK and maybe this is something which happens to non-USA customers? It’s a theory I have developed, I just can’t imagine OpenAI doing this to a fellow American, but maybe anyone outside the USA is fair game to do this to. This $240 I spent was a HUGE amount of money for me, but pennies to OpenAI for them to do this to me. I am completely invisible to them. If you see a red flag message, let that warn you - your AI experience will be nothing like what others get.

The responses became noticeably incorrect, even for simple queries. Some of my friends have had similar experiences, and it feels like OpenAI may be handling Pro users differently. After using the service a few times, it seems like the Pro version turns into something that seems like it’s trying to think but isn’t doing so carefully—almost like a different mode. If OpenAI doesn’t resolve this issue, then that $200+ subscription feels like a scam.
The price is so expensive for an Ai tool/month. if i have to pay 200-240 usd/tool. it should be give me an outstanding results. Meanwhile i’m still confused of paying 200 usd. Anyways i used GPT-3 before a year for my studied and it was magnificent. if GPT-3 gave me good results the Pro version must give me excellent results.
I am absolutely horrified. I was hoping for a model with which I could actually realize more complex projects. Now I had to realize that I paid €239 for nothing because you can’t even upload PDF files. This is an absolute joke. If it weren’t without a chance, you would have to sue them!
I’m experiencing the exact same issues with o1 Pro. The mode keeps switching from o1 Pro to the standard version automatically, which disrupts my workflow. my current solution: chat with gpt via phone chell, it is still consistent with the o1 pro version, no version changes. but this is troublesome, chatting on the cellphone, working on the computer
I just cancelled my o1 Pro subscription for the reasons mentioned above and specially since I am not able to upload text or pdf files. I am very dissapointented at O1 prod.
