Deleted Chats Still Show Images in Library — Privacy Concern

I’ve noticed a critical inconsistency in how ChatGPT handles deleted chats: even after deleting a chat that contains images, the associated images remain accessible in the library. Even more concerning — clicking on those images opens the full chat, despite it being deleted.

This raises two issues:
**1.**Data Persistence: Deleting a chat should remove all of its contents, including any linked images. Keeping them accessible undermines the purpose of deletion.
**2.**Inconsistent UX: If a chat is deleted, it should no longer be viewable in any form. The fact that the image preview leads back to a supposedly “deleted” conversation suggests that deletion is not fully honored.

This behavior needs to be corrected. Deleted chats should not leave behind orphaned assets or accessible pathways back to their content. The expectation is clear: delete means delete — completely.
