Currently, ChatGPT does not have access to real-time date and time, which limits its ability to track time-based tasks. Adding this feature would significantly improve user experience by allowing:

  1. Automatic Time Tracking – Users won’t need to manually mention the time; ChatGPT can recognize when a task starts and track progress.

  2. Smart Scheduling & Reminders – Users can ask ChatGPT to remind them after a certain period, making study sessions, work tracking, and time management more efficient.

  3. Better Context Understanding – ChatGPT can understand the duration between two messages, helping it provide smarter responses.

This feature is already available in some AI models like Gemini and Copilot. Adding it to ChatGPT would make the experience even better!

Being time aware would be a significant step forward. It would really provide a step change in how we work.
