When I have “pro” set on intelligence mode, I can’t use the custom connector I have enabled. However, when I switch to any other intelligence, it starts working.

What you're seeing is expected with the current behavior. Right now, custom connectors aren't supported when using Pro models, which is also noted in the Apps in ChatGPT documentation. If you switch to another intelligence mode, your enabled connector should work again.
That said, it's a reasonable feature request. We'll pass this feedback along to the team as a potential future enhancement.

Not sure if this is still correct.
I do use the GitHub connector regularly with the Pro models to access private repos.
Hi @VeitB, I think the documentation is still correct. I tested this in my workspace, and GitHub along with some other built-in or supported apps work as expected. However, custom apps aren't currently supported, which is likely the difference you're seeing.

Okay, I am probably not understanding this correctly:
Apps are available with all models with the exception of the Pro models.
Does this mean GitHub is not considered an app inside ChatGPT?
I can see that there may be a difference between built-in tools and a custom connector or app in developer mode when using Pro models.
Thanks for raising this @VeitB. This one's definitely a bit confusing.
GitHub is a bit of a special case. Some built in integrations, like GitHub, are supported as part of the current rollout, even for Pro models. The limitation is around custom Apps, which aren't supported with the Pro models yet.
So in short, GitHub being available doesn't mean custom Apps are available too. Those are separate capabilities, and support for them is rolling out on different timelines.
Hope that helps clarify the distinction. If you're seeing something different in your account, it'd be interesting to compare notes.

Thanks for the quick response! Missed that part of the FAQ. Would be nice at the least if it disabled your custom connectors or there was some kind of warning when in Pro mode. Spent a good amount of time trying to figure out why my custom connector wasn’t working, to then randomly try a different intelligence mode (which worked).
