Cursor Jump & Delete Issues in Full-Screen Mode (ChatGPT Android App)

Subject: Bug Report – Cursor Jump & Delete Issues in Full-Screen Mode (ChatGPT Android App)

Body:

Hello OpenAI Team,

I’m reporting two serious text editing issues found in the latest version of the ChatGPT Android app:

  1. Cursor Jumps When Typing:
When I try to insert a word in the middle of a paragraph, the app allows me to type only one word before the cursor automatically jumps to the end of the text. This makes it difficult to edit or revise existing content.

  2. Cursor Jumps When Deleting:
Similarly, when I delete a word from the middle of a sentence, the app deletes the word correctly but then the cursor jumps to the end, disrupting the editing process.

Important Observation:
This issue occurs only when I tap the expand arrow (top-right corner) to enter full-screen editing mode. Typing and deleting work perfectly in normal mode, but the bug appears consistently in the full-screen editor.

What I’ve Verified:

The issue occurs on multiple Android devices.

It did not exist in older versions of the ChatGPT app.

Appears to be a new bug in the latest version.

Both typing and deleting actions trigger the issue.
