I’m encountering a strange issue while using the GPTs platform (Custom GPTs) which seems related to account-level behavior. I’ve developed a Custom GPT with uploaded knowledge files and custom instructions. It worked reliably both on my creator account and on other accounts I shared it with.
But for over a week now, the behavior has diverged:
- On my creator account, the GPT is no longer accessing the knowledge files properly, fails to follow the custom instructions, and hallucinates frequently.
- On shared accounts, even after updates, it continues working as expected — using the files and instructions correctly.
This seems to suggest that the issue is not with the GPT itself, but with how it’s being executed on the creator’s side. I’ve double-checked the files, instructions, and even tried reverting changes — but the issue persists only on my account.
Has anyone experienced similar inconsistencies when working with Custom GPTs? Could this be related to caching, state corruption, or a backend bug?
I’d appreciate any technical guidance or shared experiences on how to debug or reset behavior at the creator-account level.
