Create new organization, several orgs in same account - not possible?

Is there no way to create an additional orgnization, besides my own? I am able to change organization name, but not add more organizations.

We are a software company, will be managing API keys for several clients, several projects per client. All with our own developers. I would like to separate the API keys, controls and tracking by client organization.

I am aware it can be done by project, but it’s not exactly what we need.

This would be the idea.

ClientABC organization
– project1 project2
– devs - JohnDev MaryDev MikeDev

ClientXYZ organization
– project1 project2 project3
– devs - MaryDev

Organizations can only be created by OpenAI themselves.

This is generally only done if you completely lost all organizations, such as by assigning another account to be the “owner”, who took it completely.

“Projects” are better for applications and limits smaller than your entire billing capability.

Customer billing and client rights management is really beyond the capabilities of the API platform. That is a product that you should develop on the backend, where clients get YOUR API keys and logins, not OpenAI’s.
