Here’s a cleaner variation with the same substance:
You’re seriously missing a huge middle layer of the market here. I’m currently deciding between Claude and ChatGPT mainly because the jump from a $20 plan to a $100 plan is too much for many users.
For people like me, a $50 ChatGPT plan would be the perfect balance. I don’t need the full $100 tier, but the $20 plan is becoming limiting. With the Windows app and the new desktop “super app” direction, ChatGPT is already more efficient and can do what Claude does, often better.
A $50 plan would cover that gap perfectly and keep users like me loyal long term. @OpenAI_Support
I agree. I am seriously considering getting Claude just to fill this gap for the most part. I would jump on a 50/mo tier in a heartbeat, for building my Flutter apps. I don’t need the amount from the $100/mo tier, and $20/mo is not enough as I get stuck after around 2 days and I can no longer do anything until the week resets. This makes my progress extremely slow, but since the apps are still in alpha, there is no income coming in to make Pro worth it (yet).
Thanks for sharing this, @balves, and welcome to the Community, @kensonplays.
A mid-tier plan around $50 has been requested quite a few times, especially by users who outgrow the $20 plan but cannot justify the jump to $100. Your examples around app development, weekly limits, and early-stage projects make that gap very clear.
We’ll pass this along to the team for logging as another request for a more flexible middle pricing tier.
