I’ve encountered a problem with the copy button on the web version of ChatGPT when using Safari. Regardless of the response length (short or long), clicking the “Copy” button results in “[object Object]” being copied to the clipboard instead of the actual text. This issue does not occur when using Chrome; it seems specific to Safari.
Here are the details:
- Steps to reproduce:
- Open ChatGPT in Safari.
- Generate any response (short or long).
- Click the “Copy” button under the response.
- Paste the copied content into any text editor or input field.
- Expected behavior: The response text should be copied to the clipboard.
- Actual behavior: “[object Object]” is copied instead.
- Environment:
- Platform: Web version of ChatGPT
- Browser: Safari [17.5 (19618.2.12.11.6)]
- Operating System: macOS Sonoma [14.5 (23F79)]
Since this issue only occurs on Safari, it might be related to browser compatibility. Please let me know if this is a known issue or if there is a workaround. Thank you for your assistance!
