Could use some thoughts on this issue below:
I was using the Codex extension with VS Code for some time without issue. I’m working on two projects at the same time, so I have two windows open, each with Codex extension installed/enabled.
First window connects to my project on an AWS instance, second to my project on a Linode instance. All was working fine for some time.
Then the second window broke somehow and I can’t log it back in. I click the Codex login, which takes me to the browser login. I login there, select my workspace and then it hangs, doesn’t pass back to VS Code which still shows the message that it’s trying to log in. First window is unaffected and still works.
I switched the second project to Cursor for a while, which solved the issue at least and I was able to login there with the other project in VS Code still. Then after a couple days, the same thing happened there… broke, and I can’t login, same behavior. All this time the first window is unaffected.
Anyone have any ideas what might be the issue? AI seemed to think it was related to the port being taken by the first window, but I’m not sure about that. It worked prior, and also I can actually get other projects on AWS open at the same time as the first one still, just not the AWS + Linode project. AI has completely struck out trying to fix this for me.
Appreciate any ideas to try. I’m on Mac OS 15.6 running VS Code 1.104.3
