After the latest update, I noticed that Codex in VS Code more and more frequently shows only a gray background while the UI becomes completely unresponsive. In the background, Codex is still working on files.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues? I already tried switching to the beta version, but the same bug is present there.
It seems to happen completly randomly
Bump. Happens literally everytime I use it with extra high reasoning effort.
I usually stick to high reasoning effort and it still happens after every couple of prompts.
If I just give it some time and restart it after a while, then the Codex’s work is usually done and I can see the results after restart, but there’s no way of telling when it’s done, since the Extension is grayed out.
Bump. This is also happening to me. Is there anyway to report this as an official bug? What kind of logs are needed to help resolve the issue?
