Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and helping bring more attention to this issue.

I did. No answer… yet. I hope i will get some answer soon.

Yes, and of course, please feel free to keep sharing your own experiences here as well. Don’t hesitate to ask than a human gives a response too, because the AI doesn’t always escalate it.

It’s time to move to quality platforms that don’t try to set up money traps and also think a bit about the user. I send good wishes to your mother, I hope you go under. Oh, by the way, I’m really happy about the free usage, glad I didn’t pay because you never deserve it, high heel workers

I would be willing to pay for additional banked Codex resets if redeeming one preserved my existing weekly reset date.

Under the current behavior, using a banked reset also moves the weekly reset window forward. That makes the product much less attractive to me, because part of the usage I am paying for effectively replaces usage I would have received from the scheduled weekly reset anyway.

For example, if my weekly reset is only a couple of days away, redeeming a paid banked reset and pushing the next weekly reset roughly a week forward significantly reduces the incremental value of that purchase.

So for me, this is directly a purchasing decision, not just a UX preference:

If a banked reset preserves the existing weekly reset date, I would consider buying additional resets. If redeeming one moves the weekly reset date, I would not buy them.

I think banked resets would make much more sense as genuinely additive usage rather than as something that also restarts the existing usage window.

I’m seeing the same issue.

My weekly Codex quota has been consumed dramatically faster than usual over the last couple of days, despite my workflow not changing substantially.

Today my /status showed:

  • Weekly usage remaining: 5%
  • 5-hour usage remaining: 0%
  • Weekly reset: September 1
  • Session ID: 01a03d74-0fc6-7db1-af3f-b22d05dcf733
  • Time zone: UTC+3 (Europe/Istanbul)

Historically, my weekly quota lasted much longer with a similar workload. Now I’m effectively burning through almost the entire weekly allowance in around 2 days.

This feels like either a change in weekly quota accounting or a significant increase in how usage is being charged, particularly around recent Codex/Sol usage.

I have same issue with my usage, i feel i burn faster and i can´t finish similar projects i was capable to make before thar 5 hour limit implement, i want to use when i can my weekly limit, not wait midnight or after working time to reset

SOY DE PERU Y TAMBIEN ENVIE MI MALESTAR A SOPORTE , AUN NO TENGO RESPUESTA PERO ENTRE MUCHAS QUEJAS ESPERO QUE SI NOS HAGAN CASO

The 5 hour limit literally just cuts you off if you try to use Ultra.

Plus user here. I haven’t even used 50% of my weekly quota, but right now a single prompt burned through my entire 5-hour limit.
This constantly disrupts my workflow, forcing me to wait 5 hours just to pick up where I left off. It pushes work way past my working hours and eats into my personal time.
I really like GPT and Codex, but if this policy isn’t rolled back, I’ll have to shift my workflow away from Codex.
