Codex delete tasks help users keep workspaces clean and organized

Hi team! Currently, Codex only allows archiving tasks, but there is no way to permanently delete them.
Please consider adding a “Delete” option to help users keep their workspace clean and organized. Thanks a lot!

Please do not forget the “Delete all” button.
Of course so that you have to confirm it with your password.

Agree to this feature request.

However, I will share how to clear all chat history on ChatGPT Codex.

Close Visual Studio Code completely.

  1. Navigate to your User Home directory:
    • Windows: Press Win + R, type %USERPROFILE%, and hit Enter.

    • macOS: Open Finder, press Cmd + Shift + H. (Not tested)

    • Linux: Go to your home directory (~). (Not tested)

  2. Open .codex folder
  3. Delete sessions folder to clear chat history. To clear archive, Gemini recommended to delete archived_sessions folder.

Re-open Visual Studio Code.

In user profiles, of course. they keep for cli also. I knew the manual ways to delete but we need the right way to handle, operate, manage these sessions.
we can choose what session to keep here

When using the CLI it’s an option to use /feedback and send this directly to the team.

I just post here to let someone who is searching how to delete or clear previous conversation message and come from search engine to know this because it is not published anywhere else.
But I agree for this feature request.
