i’d like to know an estimate of CO2-costs of requests.
is there any information available?

We haven’t done that full calculation. But it’s trending downwards towards zero. OpenAI’s infrastructure runs on Azure, and Azure will be running on 100% renewable energy by 2025.

thanks, but you cannot disclose any information for the status quo?
i am doing generative artwork and i’d love to calculate and publish the CO2-emissions of my art practise.

CO2 footprint of OpenAI is nothing compared to YouTube, and adult content is the king of CO2, nearly 1% of global emissions.
