It seems that when i log into chatGPT and start a new conversation, the model is pre-set to GPT 4o-mini.
This is really degrading my user experience, i pay for chatGPT and i want to use the best model and now i have to enable it every time and i cannot automatically use the best model or specify which model i want to use when i log in.
From OpenAI standpoint i understand this decission because it will result in lower costs for them since compute is cheaper for GPT 4o-mini. (On the other hand it reduces their clients experience because the model is worse than 4o)
For me it feels unfair and i get annoyed by it. I think this is not what OpenAI wants.
Could you guys implement the option to pre-set the model please, or just use GPT4o by default?
