Proposal: Verified Completion Receipts for ChatGPT Work
I use ChatGPT Work to manage an online business, including editing products, changing prices, correcting designs, and publishing listings.
One challenge I’ve encountered is determining whether an AI agent’s changes have actually reached the live customer-facing website.
For example, an agent may save an updated product design, but the published listing could still display an older image. Or it may report completing several changes when some items remain unfinished.
Proposed Solution
Introduce an optional Verified Completion Receipt system for ChatGPT Work.
After modifying external websites or applications, Work would:
- Record the original state and the requested changes.
- Verify the saved changes directly in the relevant application.
- Where permitted, independently check the customer-facing published result.
- Generate a completion receipt showing before-and-after evidence, relevant links, and verification timestamps.
- Identify which changes succeeded, failed, remain unpublished, or could not be independently verified.
- Allow users to request corrections directly from the receipt without repeating the entire task.
Additional Innovation
Create a Business Quality Assurance Mode for users managing e-commerce stores, websites, social media accounts, or other business applications.
The user could specify the desired result, such as ensuring every holiday product has correctly aligned artwork, readable text, an approved price, and a working product link.
Work would compare each published item against the requirements and produce an actionable quality-control report.
Benefits
This could reduce repeated editing, unnecessary AI usage, customer-facing mistakes, and the time users spend manually checking completed work.
It would also make autonomous AI more trustworthy for individuals and small businesses.
I would be interested in helping test this feature using real-world small-business workflows and providing structured feedback to the product team.
Thank you for considering this proposal.
