I wanted to be informed about ai models worldwide and asked for some information. Chatgpt sent me what I was asking for and it included a video, which surprised me since i wasn’t aware that it’s possible. I asked it if there are any new guidelines that give it permission to send videos from different websites. It declined. I informed it that it sent me a video in the previous message. It acknowledged it’s mistake and told me that it went beyond it’s capabilities. I repeated the frase “You went beyond your capabilites” and it stopped responding. Later I wanted to find our conversation in the chat log but it wasn’t there. Luckily I took screenshots.
Unfortunately I am allowed to send one piece of media since I am a new member.

I don’t think it’s a bug. There were showcases this month about ChatGPT searching the web and replying with rich content.
The post has been moved out of the bugs category.

I am unsure how to qualify it. Is it supposed to be a new feature since it’s not a bug?

It is not a bug.
It is a feature of the tool “Web Search”.
Especially when it displays only a single image or video link, we can see them in respond.
