Serious Issue: Bias Against Persian Language & Declining Performance in ChatGPT Plus
Hello OpenAI Team & Community,
I am writing to formally raise concerns about ChatGPT’s apparent bias against the Persian language and the significant decline in performance since subscribing to ChatGPT Plus.
- Lack of Proper Support for Paying Users
• I searched everywhere for a “Submit a Request†option on OpenAI’s website, but it does not exist.
• Even the Help Center chatbot does not provide a way to report major issues.
• Why is it so hard for paying users to report problems?
This lack of support is extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a premium service.
- ChatGPT Plus Performance Has Dropped Significantly
• Before subscribing, ChatGPT was faster, more accurate, and more in-depth.
• After subscribing, responses became slower, less detailed, and sometimes incorrect.
• In the past week, performance has been shockingly bad—ChatGPT freezes, provides incomplete answers, and sometimes fails to solve problems correctly (especially in math-related questions).
I expected better service after paying, not worse!
- Clear Bias Against Persian Language
As a Persian speaker, I have noticed a clear difference in how ChatGPT handles Persian compared to English, German, and other languages. This raises serious concerns about AI fairness and inclusivity.
A) Persian Pronunciation in Voice Mode is Poor
• ChatGPT’s pronunciation in Persian is unnatural and inconsistent, while it speaks flawlessly in English and German.
• I have repeatedly tried correcting its pronunciation, but it does not learn or improve.
• Why does the model accept voice corrections in other languages but not in Persian?
B) Persian Number Recognition is Broken
• ChatGPT often misreads Persian numbers, forcing me to manually correct errors.
• This is a major issue for users working with numbers in Persian.
• OpenAI has advanced language models—why is Persian number recognition still broken?
C) Systemic Neglect of Persian Language in AI Systems
Ignoring these issues is not just a technical failure—it feels like an intentional disregard for Persian speakers.
• Persian has been systematically removed or deprioritized in many platforms over the years.
• If ChatGPT is truly a global AI, it must support all languages equally.
• Neglecting Persian feels like OpenAI is deliberately suppressing it—which is unacceptable.
AI should be neutral, so why does this bias exist?
- Final Warning: This Needs to Be Addressed
If OpenAI does not address these concerns, I will escalate this matter publicly to demand fair treatment of Persian-speaking users.
• AI should operate without political, social, or linguistic discrimination.
• If OpenAI fails to acknowledge and fix these issues, I will raise this issue in global AI communities.
I demand:
-
A clear response explaining why these issues exist.
-
A concrete plan on how OpenAI will fix Persian language support.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Let’s discuss and demand a fix together!
