I love that idea. I just hope people won’t use to abuse the system… but maybe they’re already doing it. Because he was complaining about server overload, the whole “Ghibli” thing, how the demand was high and busy. If people see this as a breach to keep using those tools, maybe the havoc can go crazy still. OR maybe i am just overthinking and the systems are actually capable of handling everything normally for possibly millions of students. And for the future? That shows that institutions can absolutely have a connection with big AI companies so it’ll benefit both and actually help students. Maybe a “school/study mode” or something, without being too restrictive? Of course people will always find ways through it. But that really shows how well they are trying to integrate with education. Another big one recently develop a mode where “students do the thinking”, too. Even if we need extremes to understand the balance, i do see, like you, how this can eventually spread worlwide. Maybe the next month will show how well they’ll handle it --a test in large scale, based on, ideally, education.
why are they extending their service to even more users when they can’t even handle the current user base? their services are severely degrading over the last days and I’m not just talking sora
This is an experimental program and we may or may not expand this to more schools and countries over time.
P.S.
Some people share one account with others, especially a Pro account, because it lets you send unlimited messages with certain models. Sometimes, more than 10 people use the same account. This is against the policy of OpenAI. I hope people don’t do this, or OpenAI might take away this good opportunity.
