Hello, ABM.
Could you clarify under which conditions or actions these errors are triggered?
For example:

Does it happen after long conversations, large requests, or specific API calls?

Does it occur after timeouts or switching between threads?

The more context you provide, the more precise my analysis can be — and I’ll be glad to help you map the root cause.

I have been getting the same error today, but in 4o.
For me it’s occurring in a long conversation.

Unfortunatelly I get the same errors, no matter which model I use. I am thinking about cancelling subscription, it is not usable at this state, sadly :frowning:

Hey back there,
Yes, it’s a long conservation and full of attachment, but nevertheless, it should not happen at all.

I am facing this every day on any particular chat with long history of 2-3 months, it happened before as what I am facing now for last 2 weeks!

Is there any solution because I am seriously thinking of cancelling my subscription which costs me 21$ monthly!!

Appreciate your feedback and taking into consideration of my issue here.

Best,
ABM

I am having the same issues since about 2 weeks, it is very disturbing, especially as there is sometimes the last prompt and/or answer lost in the chat when it occurs.
I would be happy to work together with you to finally get rid of that, I am using the desktop app on windows, as systems says it should be up to date.
Tahmsk for hel, cause this is a really bad experience at the ,oment and when I am a paying customer it would be great when it works.
thanks a lot!

This also applies to me. As soon as the chat becomes more comprehensive, the problems start.

This is just one of them. What helps so far: Regenerate. Interestingly, this results in two or more different versions of the reply.

In other words: apparently ChatGTP is already doing something, but can no longer assign the chat (or something like that).

There are also other problems: slow response, sometimes the whole window blocks, entries are lost.

Using ChatGTP professionally has thus become quite challenging.

Hello,

I’ve been using ChatGPT for learning purposes and for preparing DnD campaigns as it were. But recently the response times have slowed excessively and a lot of the time I get the following message shown to me for a couple of seconds:

getNodeByIdOrMessageId - no node found by id: placeholder-request-67ba14c7-8c10-8003-936e-6a0426340d89-6

which seems to be a very similar message to yours. I have already followed the standard steps for solving the slowing issue. It made no difference. If any solution to this is found I would be very greatfull, since I basically can barely use ChatGPT anymore despite paying for it.

Best wishes.

This has been happening to me for a while too.

It doesn’t seem to matter which model or how old the conversation is.

I am using the chatgpt app in windows 11.

It actually keeps writing in the background. If you right click on the app and then ā€œReloadā€ the error disappears and its response appears. But this is really annoying nevertheless, specially as a paying user.

Here is an example: getNodeByIdOrMessageId - no node found by id: placeholder-request-67db2473-07d8-8002-9611-a960f5da18ad-10

hey back there cyclonesurfrj,
any chance or luck of getting a feedback on this issue which really iterated me over the last couple of days?

It’s still presistant every time when I do a query and I am really thinking of canceling my membership as I am not getting any feedback from the support itself!!!

I’m getting this message: getNodeByIdOrMessageId - no node found by id: placeholder-request-67d480af-c320-8000-95ac-a4bc190bddb2-18

The screen is also going blank.
This is happening on the Windows Installed version of ChatGPT

Same problem! It’s too bad! It will happen so many times in one day! I am seriously thinking of canceling my subscription!!

I get it on windows 10 using the app

getNodeByIdOrMessageId - no node found by id: placeholder-request-67ecf33a-df74-800a-b1e2-d75b8cb12867-1

on all models

very frustrating, we have the pro subscription but Im ending up having to use free Perplexity to get it to work

what a useless app

Me esta pasando lo mismo.

Hey, I don’t know if this has been solved or you found a solution, but have you tried ā€˜Reloading’ ChatGPT via the System Tray? It may not be a permanent fix but it does work, just right click the ChatGPT icon in the tray and select ā€œReload.ā€ Sometimes it backs you out to the new chat screen, but mostly it will keep you in the same conversation. Hope that helps!
