As you can see in the image no text is showing up but I can still seem to copy the responses.

I am having the same issue, idk what to do

it is fixed now. the issue wass with a google update actually and they have fixed it now. if you have some issue i suggest you join the official chatgpt discord. Since i cant add invite link just search for chatgpt discord on google and the first link will be the one.

Clearing my browser cache and logging in again fixed it for me.

I fixed this error, the solution is very simple, just close all extension while using chatgpt

I have the same problem using only Firefox browser where the response text is completly empty. I also tried to open the same chat in other browser like Edge, Chrome and everything seems to be working there without any problem. It is strange because in Firefox there is no JavaScript error, warning or whatsoever in the Console panel yet no text. It all started I could not log in nor any button worked on the website, then I found the login URL in Google search results could login but can’t see past chats, then the past chats started to show again but the conversation text still remains “invisible”.

The problem as of today 2026-01-17 seems to be fixed.

This problem occurs again, why?? The same setting, chatgpt and codex worked before but now suddenly cannot generate any text.

Codex shows “Internet access closed: Internet access has been disabled in the settings. You can adjust this option in your environment settings.” and cannot show any text after thinking…

I am having the same issue here. Tried all the troubleshooting from clearing history, logging out and back in, reset cookies and many other suggestions to fix it from Youtube. But still can’t find any workable solution

Same problem in Singapore, across different devices and browsers. Based on the openai.status website, seems to be a known issue.

Same problem today (July, 24th 2026) using Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu.
