Chatgpt is not sharing information with other projects and sessions

Until recently, ChatGPT projects allowed inter-project reading if permissions were granted in the project instructions. I could explicitly allow other projects to read one project’s content and configure the other projects to pull from it. This was essential to my work.

Now, this capability is gone. Projects and their sessions are completely isolated, even from other projects with explicit permission in their instructions. This has severely broken my workflow.

I manage multiple interlinked projects — all centered on energy manipulation physics — where discoveries in one project must be visible to others to maintain continuity and avoid duplication. Without cross-project reading, I must manually duplicate files across every project. This is time-consuming, error-prone, and makes it much harder to track advancements.

Request:
Please restore the ability for a project to read from other projects when explicit permission is given in the instructions, or provide an equivalent mechanism for shared knowledge across projects.

This capability is not only a convenience — it’s a core requirement for any research workflow that spans multiple interdependent projects.
