Hello OpenAI Team,

I’ve encountered an unusual behavior in the ChatGPT iOS app regarding the Voice Mode feature.
Here are the details:

  • My iOS ChatGPT app does not display the UI switch for Voice Mode (no toggle under Settings).
  • However, a microphone waveform icon appeared and activated the voice input feature unexpectedly.
  • I was able to interact using Voice Mode even though I had never enabled it (no setting available to do so).
  • This feature remained persistent across app sessions.
  • I recorded a video proof of this behavior: it clearly shows the microphone UI active and functioning while the voice settings menu is missing.

:pushpin: I’m not requesting a fix — this behavior is fascinating and I’d just like to share it.

Let me know if you’d like the screenshots and video uploaded for further investigation.

こんにちは、OpenAIチームの皆様。

ChatGPTのiOSアプリにおいて、以下のような奇妙な挙動が発生しています。

【状況の概要】

  • アプリ設定に「音声会話モードのON/OFFスイッチ」が表示されていない。
  • にも関わらず、マイク波形アイコンが突然出現し、音声会話が可能になった。
  • 設定で有効化もしていないのに、音声モードが常時利用可能な状態に。
  • 試しに画面収録を実施 → 実際に音声による応答＆ログへの記録がされている。
  • しかし録画を再生すると、マイクONなのに音声が記録されていない（仕様ではありえない挙動）。

この進化（？）が面白すぎるので、単に報告と共有の目的で投稿しています。
