I have an idea where AI is at the center of interaction, and I didn’t know and couldn’t find a better place to share it than here. Sorry if the topic is not chosen correctly. But here’s part of my idea.
Vision
Today, ChatGPT is one of the best AI assistants, while messaging apps, marketplaces, social networks, and productivity tools exist as separate ecosystems.
I would like to propose a different direction.
Instead of making AI another feature inside existing applications, make AI the center of the platform itself.
The idea is to evolve ChatGPT from an AI chat application into an AI-first communication platform, where messaging, Mini Apps, bots, commerce, services, and personal assistance exist in one ecosystem.
The user no longer thinks about which application to open.
The user simply expresses an intention.
The AI determines which service should fulfill that intention.
-–
Core Principle
The platform should support two equally important interaction models.
1. Conversational Interface
The user can simply ask:
- “Book me a haircut with Jason on Friday.”
- “Order the groceries I usually buy.”
- “Compare Pixel prices.”
- “Remind me to congratulate Mom.”
ChatGPT communicates with the required Mini App through a standardized API.
2. Traditional Graphical Interface
Not every task should be completed through conversation.
Users should still be able to:
- browse stores;
- compare products visually;
- view service catalogs;
- use maps;
- explore Mini Apps directly.
AI should never replace the interface.
AI should become the intelligent entry point to that interface.
-–
AI as the Operating Layer
The platform architecture could look like this:
User
↓
ChatGPT AI Core
↓
Unified Mini App API
↓
Stores • Services • Businesses • Banks • Delivery • Healthcare • Government • Entertainment
Instead of every company creating its own AI assistant, every company would expose a standardized API.
ChatGPT becomes the universal assistant capable of interacting with every service.
-–
Mini Apps
Inspired by Telegram Mini Apps, but designed for AI interaction from the beginning.
Every Mini App exposes structured capabilities.
Examples:
Barbershop
- available slots
- book appointment
- cancel booking
Restaurant
- menu
- order
- reservation
Store
- search products
- compare prices
- checkout
Taxi
- estimate price
- order ride
- track vehicle
The AI understands natural language.
Mini Apps only need to provide functionality.
-–
Human + AI Collaboration
The platform should never force users to delegate everything.
Users always choose:
“I’ll do it manually.”
or
“ChatGPT, do it for me.”
AI acts as an assistant, not as an autonomous decision-maker.
-–
Personal AI Workspace
Instead of relying entirely on external ecosystems, ChatGPT could gradually provide its own personal environment:
- reminders
- calendar
- notes
- shopping lists
- tasks
- saved preferences
Synchronization with Google, Apple, Microsoft and others should remain optional.
The ecosystem should be fully functional even without external integrations.
-–
Intelligent Assistance
The AI should proactively help only when appropriate.
Examples:
“Your mother’s birthday is in six days.”
“You usually buy milk every Wednesday.”
“Jason has one free slot tomorrow.”
“The Pixel you wanted is now 15% cheaper.”
The goal is assistance, not interruption.
-–
Commerce
Shopping becomes intent-driven.
Instead of opening five stores, the user says:
“I want to upgrade my Google Pixel.”
ChatGPT asks every connected store through their APIs.
Then presents:
- lowest price;
- fastest delivery;
- best warranty;
- pickup today.
The user chooses.
The AI never hides alternatives.
Sponsored recommendations should always be clearly labeled.
-–
Social Platform
ChatGPT could become more than an assistant.
It could become the communication platform itself.
Users would have:
- private chats;
- group chats;
- voice calls;
- channels;
- Mini Apps;
- AI assistant.
The AI would naturally participate whenever requested.
-–
Developer Ecosystem
Developers should not build AI.
They should build capabilities.
Every business exposes structured APIs.
ChatGPT becomes the universal interface between humans and software.
This significantly lowers the barrier to entry for developers while creating a consistent user experience.
-–
Why This Matters
Today’s mobile ecosystem is application-centric.
The future could become intention-centric.
People do not actually want applications.
People want outcomes.
Instead of deciding which app to open, users simply describe what they want to accomplish.
ChatGPT becomes the layer that connects human intent with digital services.
This is not simply another messenger.
It is an AI-native platform where communication, services, commerce, and personal assistance converge into a single ecosystem.
