I’ve tried to logout, login again. Tried to close messaging and open a new one. Anytime I try to refactor a code, it cutoff exactly at the same spot, then it just spams “WebSocket connection to xy failed: The operation couldn’t be completed. Can’t assign requested address” to the console.
Welcome to the forum!
This bug, where the code cutoff off in the middle, is being discussed in various places.
Consistent error loop on a specific code snippet it’s trying to output. Been using ChatGPT since day 1 - never seen this before. Have tried restarting session, regenerating, asking it to complete/fix, etc.

When requesting longer blocks of code, the responses from GPT-4 often truncate midway, without completing the intended output. This issue appears to occur indiscriminately across various coding languages and use cases, and it has been consistent for several days now.
i m sure it’s not a token issue or something. The need to issue multiple prompts for a single piece of code is time-consuming. I use chatgpt since a long time and it’s the first time ever i come across such issue.Any solution to t…
I have an issue where ChatGPT just freezes around 20l lines of code, then it tries to regenerate but it doesn’t work. causing a weird behaviour. It generated 20 or so lines of code, got stuck, then there empty space and another code prompt with 1 line, then again and again. Then sometimes after trying it 5-10 times it shows “network error”.
I’ve tried different solutions that I found here, like telling to continue and stuff (won’t work cuz prompt never finishes, and stoping it, causes it to reg…
We might just have to wait until it’s fixed.
I’m sorry I can’t provide a solution, but that’s all I can tell you.
I have reported the issue to OpenAI for now. I also hope it gets resolved quickly.
P. S.
I have confirmed that the issue has been resolved on my end.
How about on your side?
